Most survivors of domestic violence reach out to a friend or family member long before they attempt to access a social service agency for support, but friends and family may not know how to help a loved one who is being battered. This two-hour training will walk participants through the It Takes A Village People Toolkit and show advocates how to apply advocacy skills to help diverse survivors break isolation, strengthen social connectedness and increase safety.

Presented by Connie Burk, the NW Network of Bi, Trans, Lesbian and Gay Survivors of Abuse
