Join us for another R$C: Money & Relationships booster course. The goal of this class is to provide some tools and skills for building the types of relationships that we want. The facilitator’s role will be to share some thinking and ideas, and make a space for learning and practicing new skills. However, we will not be processing or troubleshooting specific experiences or stories. If you share a detailed story, the facilitators may ask you if you’d like to talk about it more outside of class.
This two-part series will give participants an opportunity to explore their own values and expectations regarding money, how to make decisions and negotiate about money in relationships, and the ways that capitalism and class shape our understanding of money and affect our relationships. This will be an online course through our webinar system, and it will take place on Thursdays May 24th and May 31st from 11am to 1pm.
We recognize that folks attending the classes are single, partnered or in a variety of relationship structures. We ask that regardless of your relationship status, you participate in the class as an individual. We expect that focusing intensely on relationships might raise questions or concerns with some of you when examining current or former relationships. If this is the case, please know that there will be NW Network advocates available during class as well as outside of class to help you sort through what might be coming up for you. The number for the NW Network is (206) 568-7777, and we are generally available M-F 9 am to 5 pm.
Cost: There is a suggested donation of $45, although nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
