Reports to: Finance Director
Salary: $40,000-$50,000 DOE

Basic function:  This position assists with ensuring smooth functioning of the agency finances and back-office operations.

  • Responsible for integrity of accounting and bookkeeping processes ensures compliance with GAAP.

  • Responsible for understanding compliance of our grant awards.

  • Responsible for ensuring accurate “class tracking”/job costing when entering invoices.

  • Ensures accuracy of the general ledger, accounting records of all expenditures and revenues, payable and accounts receivable.

  • Allocates costs ensuring efficient, accurate and compliant grant coding of expenditures and revenues to the appropriate awards.

  • Assists on preparing grant invoices for monthly and quarterly billings.

  • Investigates and resolves questions/concerns on billings.

  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government contract and grant award and financial reporting requirements.

  • Assists with ensuring employee timecards accurately recorded.

  • Prepare and submit payroll for approval.

  • Maintain employee files.

  • Maintain vendor records with updated W9, insurance certificates and SAM Requirements when necessary.

  • General office tasks, emails, filing, ect.

  • Other duties as necessary to achieve the basic function of this position.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bookkeeping, payroll experience required

  • Job costing experience preferred

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy at all times.

  • Understanding of the LGBTQ community in a social justice context.

  • Commitment to the mission values and aspirations of the NW Network.

  • Advanced Microsoft, database and excel skills

  • A tactical thinker who works with accuracy and who meets deadlines and exacting standards.Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of the QuickBooks accounting software.
