Job Description

 the NW Network is hiring two Community Advocates focusing on advocacy with QTPOC Youth and Families

Position: Community Advocate

 Reports to: Program Manager

This is a full-time position (salary $45K-$47K depending on multi-language skills) in an exciting, progressive changemaking service organization.  We offer excellent benefits, including: health and dental insurance, long & short term disability insurance, life insurance, vacation and sick leave, and a caring and innovative work environment!

 A NW Network Community Advocate:

  • Advocates for diverse bisexual, trans, lesbian & gay survivors of domestic, sexual & dating violence;
  • Works on individual, grassroots and systems levels to create the conditions necessary to support loving and equitable relationships; and
  • Finds opportunities to support the work of allied changemakers and organizations.

Both positions will require some evening hours each week and occasional weekend hours. We highly recommend people of all educational background and life experiences apply.  Experience navigating social services, school systems and experience supporting self-determination of communities of color a must.  Multi-lingual skills are highly desired.
