Request for Proposal for Graphic Design Services

The National LGBTQ Institute on IPV is a project of the NW Network of Bi, Trans. Gay and Lesbian Survivors of Abuse and the National Coalition of Anti Violence Programs.

Proposals will be reviewed June 23, 2017

About the National LGBTQ Institute on IPV:

The Institute builds collaborations across LGBTQ Anti Violence and Domestic Violence fields, leveraging the strengths of each to improve impact. We increase public awareness and enhance state, local and national efforts to prevent and address LGBTQ intimate partner violence. We want all survivors, including LGBTQ survivors, to have access to excellent DV advocacy and resources. Our work includes producing research, creating tools for advocates in LGBTQ and mainstream organizations. and participating in local. state, and national dialogues about intimate partner violence intervention and prevention.

Based at the NW Network (in Seattle), in partnership with NCAVP (in New York), our work is grounded in grassroots work with our LGBTQ communities and survivors, and funded by Family Violence Prevention Services Act funds under Health and Human Services.

Description of Need:

The institute seeks a qualified designer or team who can provide graphic design services for 3-6 months. We have a great deal of information, recommendations, data, best practices and critical thinking we want to share with the DV advocacy fields. We intend to create infographics, short videos, and engaging webinar materials for advocates.

We are hoping to work with a graphic designer 10- 15 hours a week from late June to September 25th - with the possibility to continue after September.  The maximum total fee for services between now and 9/25/17 will not exceed $15,000.

Scope of Services:

We are looking for someone who can help us bring our data, recommendations, and thinking to life. The Institute has huge cache of information and contacts with many advocates who want to take in that information. We want our delivery of information to be effective, engaging, and durable.  Some possible outputs might be a series of infographics related to our Targeted Recommendations, a series of 2-3 minute videos illustrating key concepts, and assistance in visualizing data effectively.

Design Requirements:

The Institute will provide the designer with all existing visual assets. While the Institute has some visual assets and branding, room exists to establish a recognizable “look” for our products.  Products and assets developed under this project should be delivered in formats which are usable, reusable and modifiable by project staff with MS Office programs like Publisher, Word and Powerpoint.
