RSC Mini: Money & Relationships

  • NW Network Community Engagement Center Seattle, WA

The NW Network of BTLG Survivors of Abuse will be offering a two-part relationship skills class on money and finances!

R$C Mini: Money & Relationships will give participants an opportunity to explore their own values and expectations regarding money, how to make decisions and negotiate about money in relationships, and the ways that capitalism and class shape our understanding of money and affect our relationships.  Talking about money can sometimes feel difficult. This class is aiming to offer a place to start the conversation, center queer and trans communities, and build the skills we need for the relationships we want!

While some personal finance concepts/basics will be explored, it is not meant to be a class on budgeting, investing, debt management, credit repair, individual finance troubleshooting or the like. We’re not financial advisors, but we do want our community to have the opportunity to talk about money and its impact in our relationships in a fun and accessible way! We hope you can join us in this endeavor.

The classes will be held for two MONDAYS, starting on December 5th and ending December 12th. Every session will run from 6-8:30pm. The classes will be held in the new Northwest Network Community Engagement Center, located in the basement of the Columbia City Church of Hope:3818 S Angeline St, Seattle, WA 98118, The space has an accessbile side entrance located on the left hand side of the building.
